5 Things: Do You Think There's a Hidden Message in Wendy's Logo?

Norton Public Library is hosting a Zombie flick today.

1. Wendy's are you telling me something? Here's the deal, there was a theory going on that Wendy's was putting a hidden message within its new logo. The company said Monday in a Huffington Post article said it was unintentional. See if you can get the word (hint, it's the opposite of dad). I didn't see, but it did want to me to go to the Wendy's in Easton for a double cheeseburger. Can you see it?

2. Golf anyone? If you are interested in seeing professional golfers up close, the Deutsche Bank Championship is looking for volunteers to work the Labor Day week tournament. Sign up today by visiting their website or give them a call at 508-285-8333 for more information

3. With the heat, it will be a nice day for a movie. You can watch a "Flick at the Library." In today's movie at 3 p.m. at the Norton Public Library, a tormented zombie experiences a profound transformation after entering into an unusual relationship with the daughter of a military leader charged with eradicating the walking dead. As the unlikely pair builds a tenuous bridge between the living and the dead, those on both sides of the battle begin to sense that nothing in their world will ever be the same again. Sounds pretty scary.

4. We're in the middle of another heat wave in case you haven't noticed. Our friends at WHDH, it is going to be in the low 90s, but a sea breeze will help us get back into the mid-upper 80s in the afternoon. National Grid has a good tip for keep cool. Here's one of them: "Turn off ceiling fans, close the drapes – Ceiling fans don’t actually cool your home; they only circulate air to make you feel cooler. Therefore, they are most effective when you’re home to enjoy the benefits. Turn them off when you’re not home and save energy in the process. Also, draw blinds, shades or drapes to block the sunlight during the hottest part of the day, especially on south and west-facing windows."

5. If it's Friday, it's free, while at least where the Highland Foundation is concern. They offer free admission to museums and tourist attractions through the summer. The Easton Children's Museum is free July 26. Here's the link to their day. On Friday, July 26, The Children’s Museum in Easton will open its doors at no cost to visitors all day long, thanks to the Highland Street Foundation. For more information, visit the Children's Museum website.
