1. Today will be sunny, with a high near 48 and northwest wind between 7 and 9 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Tonight there will be a low of around 31.

2. The will be the site of the sixth annual adult Halloween party, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets at the door are $12. The event is being sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary.

3. The Friends of the Ames Free Library are hosting a Halloween themed party at Queset House, 51 Main St., North Easton from 7 to 10 p.m. There will be live spooky music and light refreshments, including franks. Tickets are $20 each and available at the front desk of the library. No costumes required, but bring a mask or make one at the party! Cash bar with craft beer and wine also available.
