Ken Aptekar, an internationally known artist, will hold his first New England exhibit at The Beard & Weil Galleries at The showcase, “Look Again,” will feature the New York- and Paris-based artist’s works, which begin with old and not-so-old art works works he creates in the style of combining old withto create something new. The exhibit will be displayed from Feb. 6 to April 14.

3. Local author Jan Brett is once again holding a contest where the prize is a visit from her at a library. Norton came close to winning last year. To enter, click on the Contest Entry Form icon on her Facebook page. Contest ends April 9.
