1. There is a 20 percent chance of showers after noon today. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 59. West wind will be between 8 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Tonight there is a slight chance of showers before 10 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 40. West wind will be between 3 and 10 mph.

2. Registration is now open for Norton Youth Soccer's fall recreational season. The fall season runs nine consecutive weekends, starting in early September and ending in early November. Players practice once a week with games on Saturdays at Norton Middle School. Norton boys and girls born Aug. 1, 1997 through July 31, 2007 are eligible. Deadline for registering is May 31.
