What FOX-25's Morning Show Said About Norton

FOX-25 brought its Zip Trip to Norton's Yelle Elementary School Friday morning, highlighting the community and the people who live there. You can see the highlights of the show on the FOX-25 website

Highlights included:

Norton selectman Bob Salvo was featured in the Talk of the Town segment, talking about the town's government, schools and what it's like to live in the town.

Colleen Dufrense was presented with a $500 gift certificate to Bernie & Phylis as the Fan of the Week.

Former Norton High and Wheaton College baseball standout Sean Ryan, who was also an outstanding running back for the Lancers, was featured on Hometown Trivia. See if you can beat Ryan's record here.

Norton Youth Baseball and Softball was featured as the Hometown Team of the Week.

Trinity and Wendell's were featured as part of Taste of the Town.

Debra White of Winslow Farm was profiled at the Hometown Hero.

Eric Baldwin, the tournament director of the Deutsche Bank Championship, talked up TPC-Boston and the upcoming tournament.

McGeough Lamacchia Realty profiled the real estate market in Norton.

FOX-25's Gene Lavanchy, whose son, Matt, is the second baseman on the Wheaton College baseball team, took a tour of Norton to highlight the area and its history. He pointed out the Norton didn't have spotlight until 1997, while the theme from "Mayberry" played in the background. San Diego Padres' outfielder Chris Denorfia, who played at Wheaton College, was also featured. He called Wendell's "the best wings I've ever had." Lavancy also told the tale of the "Devil's Footprint.

The Norton Fire Department was also featured in Firehouse Friday, sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts.
