Norton Parks and Rec Skating Party on for Groundhog Day

Free ice skating event to take place Feb. 2.

*UPDATE- Jan. 31* Due to the warm weather, the skating party from Norton Parks and Recreation has been cancelled.

Norton Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a free community skating party Groundhog Day, Saturday, Feb. 2, 2 to 4 p.m.

This event is held at the Slattery property, located at 166 John Scott Blvd., weather pending. The original party date was scheduled for Jan. 26, but the weather fluctuations prevented it from happening. The temperature has had its highs and lows, and Norton Parks and Recreation is hoping the ice will stay frozen from now until after the party.
