Norton Parents Get Special Delivery on 12/12/12

Wesley Fisher was born to Erin and Scott Fisher Dec. 12, 2012 at 12:12 p.m.

When Erin Fisher went into labor Dec. 12, she expected it to go well into the next day. Newborn Wesley Scott Fisher was determined to make his birthday an extra special day, however, arriving at exactly 12:12 p.m. Dec. 12, 2012.

“We are both doing very well and are going home today,” Erin said. She has lived in Norton for the past five years with her husband Scott. Erin originally comes from Rehoboth while Scott is a Dighton native. They are both 31 years old.

Erin went to the hospital at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday and gave birth to Wesley almost six hours later. Her original due date was Dec. 18. Wesley, named after Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker, was born at 6 lbs., 8 oz. at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.

“My husband picked the name, but I really like the name Wesley,” Erin said, adding that they are big New England Patriots fans. When asked if she thought they had a future football star on their hands, Erin said her children are all “small guys,” but there’s still a chance. Welker is a “small guy” himself compared to other players, at 5’9’’ and 185 lbs.

Wesley isn’t the only special child in the family, as he has twin brothers named Chase and Owen. They turn 2 on Dec. 17.

“It [his birthday] gives him his own uniqueness,” Erin said. “My twins get a lot of attention and are very special because they are twins. Now he has a specialness all his own. It was meant to be, that’s for sure.”

Maternal grandparents are Rosemary and Gerard Lavoie. Paternal grandparents are Gail and Allen Fisher.
