1. Expect showers and thunderstorms today. The temperature high will be near 75 with south wind around 10 mph. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible. Tonight there is a 60 percent of showers and thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy with a low around 57 with south wind at 6 mph becoming northwest. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

2. Norton Public Library will host a free writing group at 5:30 p.m. Members can meet and talk about their work or just have a quiet hour to write. There will be no formal group meeting but materials will be available to work on an exercise.

3. Worship in the Garden will take place at Ames Free Library, 53 Main St., Easton from 6 to 7 p.m. All are welcome. This program is hosted by ministry of the Covenant Congregational Church of North Easton.
