1. High near 84, low around 63
Today there is a 20 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 9 a.m. There will be patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 84. South wind will be 9 to 15 mph. Tonight there is a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Patchy fog is expected between 7 and 8 p.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. South wind will be 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

2. New library hours
The Norton Public Library is now open on Saturdays. Hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

3. Supermarket sweep!
Brad Faxon and Brett Quigley traded their putters for shopping carts in the Stop & Shop and Deutsche Bank Championship (DBC) Supermarket Sweep, a two-minute, speed shopping challenge for charity, to see who could fill their shopping carts with the highest value groceries within the time allotted. Faxon raced to the checkout line with a grocery bill of $5,018.00, beating rival Quigley who collected $2,070.94. The prize was a $1,500 donation to the charity of the winner’s choice, Blessing in a Backpack. 4. Let’s talk about Salt-N-Pepa
Campanelli Stadium is set to host the 80s/90s Throwback Concert headlined by the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop trio, Salt-N-Pepa, and the “King of Freestyle”, Stevie B. The night will be hosted by Blu Cantrell and will feature Austin Brown, nephew of the late Michael Jackson. The event will begin at 7 p.m., while gates will open at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Brockton Rox Box Office at Campanelli Stadium, online at www.ticketweb.com, or by calling 508-559-7000.

5. Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is kicking off another year of activities filled with arts and crafts, science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), trips to exotic locations, Girl Scout cookies, camping under the stars and more.
