Today will be sunny, with a high near 68. Northeast wind will be 5 to 10 mph. Tonight there will be patchy fog after 2 a.m. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy, with a low around 47. North wind will be around 6 mph.

2. New Testament Family Night and open house
New Testament Christian School is hosting a Family Night and open house starting 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium to learn about some highlights of the 2012-13 school year. Visit the teachers and fellowship with other New Testament families. For more information call 508-285-9771.

3. Advanced Cardial Life Support course
Sturdy Memorial Hospital’s Nursing Education Department is holding an Advanced Cardiac Life Support course 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sept. 21 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the hospital auditorium. Participants must show proof of current CPR certification and have basic knowledge of cardiac dysrhythmias. The cost for the full training for registered nurses is $200 and $285 for physicians and recertification for registered nurses is $165 and $205 for physicians. Course fees include course materials, ACLS textbook and refreshments. This class is open to the public. For more information or to register call 508-236-7161.

4. Norton residents achieve honors at Boston College High School
Norton residents Daniel Patrick Latu, Class of 2012, and Leo Michael Catinella, Class of 2015, achieved high honors for the fourth quarter at Boston College High School. For high honors a student must have at least a 3.8 QPA and all grades C+ or higher. Brian Latu, Class of 2014, achieved honors. For honors a student needs a 3.2 quality point average and all grades '"C-" or higher.
