5 Things Oct. 17: Road Delays, Sexting Presentation and More

1. Road delays
The Highway Department will be sealcoating on Plain Street and Lincoln Street. This may cause delays.

2. Sexting presentation
Norton Police special resource officer and detective James Franco along with the District Attorney’s Office gave a presentation to the high school students about child exploitation or “sexting.” This presentation will be put on for parents 7 p.m. at Norton High School.

3. Girl’s Night Out
Ladies, including (left to right) daughter and mother Sheena Eaton of Norton and Kim Eaton of Raynham, were in full force at this year’s Girl’s Night Out at Emerald Square Mall that was held on Thursday, Oct. 11. The event honored women of all ages offering fashion trends, beauty tips, pampering and more! Guests were treated to participating mall retailers showcasing fall wardrobes, mini beauty treatments and light bites and refreshments. This year’s Girl’s Night Out was sponsored Woolite and Diet Coke.

4. Bladder health presentation
The Center for Bladder & Pelvic Health at OB/GYN Associates of Attleboro is presenting a free lecture 7 to 8 p.m. on Pelvic Floor Muscle Rehabilitation (PFMR), which treats a wide range of bladder disorders in a noninvasive, painless way. Barbara Baxter, board certified physician assistant, will present this program. A question and answer session with follow the presentation. The program will be held at the Attleboro Y, Downtown Branch site, located at 63 N. Main St., Attleboro. Light refreshments will be provided. Reservations are necessary and are available on a first come, first served basis. To register call 508-236-8025.
