1. Musical Storytime and Men’s Book Discussion Group
Ms Lee’s Musical Storytime will take place 10:30 a.m. at Norton Public Library. All ages are welcome. The topic will be black and white with penguins, snow and more. There will also be a Men’s Book Discussion Group meeting at 6:30 p.m. The selection is “Red Ink: Inside the High-Stakes Politics of the Federal Budget,” by David Wessel.

2. Project Early applications available
Applications for the 2013-2014 Project Early Preschool Program will be available in the L. G. Nourse Elementary School office starting today. All applications must be returned by Monday, Jan. 28. For more information click here or call 508-285-0110.

3. Adult art day class sampler
Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts, 263 Central St., Foxborough, will offer an adult art day class sampler through March 31. For $100 you can choose one class each in four mediums. For more information visit http://­www.­hunakai­studio.­org.

4. Alternative heating safety tips

American Red Cross offered the following tips for alternative heat sources:

  • Inspect fireplaces and wood stoves

  • If a fire occurs in your home, get out, stay out and call for help

  • Talk with all household members about a fire escape plan and practice the plan twice a year.
