5 Things Feb. 25: Parent-Child Book Club, Social Media Safety and More

1. Parent-Child Book Club meeting
At this month’s Parent-Child Book Club meeting at Norton Public Library, the book up for discussion is “Heather the Violet Fairy,” by Daisy Meadows. This event starts 5:30 p.m. and is for kids around grades 2 through 4. Snacks are encouraged.

2. Social Media Safety seminar
Guest speaker Janet Judge will be at the Cole Chapel at Wheaton College 7 to 8 p.m. to discuss social media and how to stay safe online. This event is free, but donations will be accepted to cover the cost for future events. For more events at Wheaton College click here.

3. Of Three Minds and Color & Contrast displays
The Galleries of the Providence Art Club will display Of Three Minds, featuring works by Jim Bush Vincent J. Castaldi and S. Chandler Kissell, as well as Color & Contrast, featuring works by Nancy Rapelye Godray and Brian Larkin. The opening reception is 2 to 4 p.m. today. All exhibits are free and open to the public.

4. Promote your event on Patch
