5 Things: Billottee Earns All-Star Honors; Banjo Concert Tonight

1. Former Norton High standout Dave Billottee was named as a Cranberry League all-star for his efforts at second base for the Easton Huskies. This year, Easton finished in fourth place to make the playoffs.
2. The Deutsche Bank Championship is looking for volunteers for their golf tournament over Labor Day weekend. Click here for more information.
3. The high school building committee will be meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the construction trailer at the high school.
4. Norton's Water Sewer Commission will be meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Water Department at 166 John Scott Blvd. Here's the agenda for the meeting.
5. The Banjo Ragtimers Summer Concert will be held in the Norton library park tonight at 7 p.m. Jim "Mr. Bango" Haas, Bill Kass and Paul Gookin will be performing on the banjo, sax, clarinet, washboard and drums. Sponsored by the Norton Medical Center, the event is free. In case of rain, it will be held in the library community room.
