5 Things Aug. 10: 'A Knight's Tale,' S'mores and More

1. The meteorologists aren’t sure
There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today. Patchy fog is expected before 8 a.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. Light south wind will increase to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Tonight showers and a thunderstorm are 60 percent likely around 9 p.m. It will be cloudy, with a low around 73. New rainfall amounts of a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

2. “A Knight’s Tale” showing
Norton Public Library will host a movie showing of “A Night’s Tale” at 10:30 a.m. After his master dies, a peasant squire, fueled by his desire for food and glory, creates a new identity for himself as a knight. This movie is rated PG-13 and is 132 minutes long. It will be shown in the Community Room.

3. Big Brother & The Holding Company
Big Brother & The Holding Company will perform at Showcase Live, 23 Patriot Place, Foxborough at 6 p.m. Evolving out of the San Francisco rock scene of the mid-1960s, Big Brother was in the forefront of the psychedelic music movement. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Showcase Live website.

4. National S’mores Day
Today is National S’mores Day. In honor of the day, Taste of Home, a cooking magazine, has put together their favorite spins on the classic s’more recipe so they can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere. All of these tasty, s’more recipes are made with easy to find ingredients from local grocery stores. Try out the Give Me S'more, Make Ahead S’mores and Peanut Butter S’mores.
