1. Hot, hot, hot
Patchy fog is expected before 7 a.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Light west wind will become southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind will be 5 to 8 mph. There is a 20 percent chance of precipitation after 2 a.m.
2. Magician workshop
Learn the "tricks" of the trade with professional magician Ed Popielarczyk 3 p.m. at Norton Public Library. All participants will receive a magic trick to take home. This program for ages 8 and older is sponsored by Advanced Dental of Norton. Register in advance by stopping by the library or calling 508-285-0265.
3. Attleboro Landfill public hearing
There will be a public meeting at at 7 p.m. to discuss capping the Attleboro Landfill. This project will bring 50 to 75 trucks a day over 2 to 3 years travelling Eddy Street to Union Road.
4. “Jack and the Beanstalk” musical performance
Kaleidoscop Theatre will present “Jack and the Beanstalk”at , 2115 Broad St., Cranston, R.I. This musical tells the classical story of Jack, who sold the family cow for invisible magic beans and what comes from this deal. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com.
