1. Camp Edith Read open house

The open house be 1 to 3 p.m. Girls and their families are welcome to tour camp and learn about the fun programs that will be offered there this summer. All girls are invited to attend camp. Some of the many programs offered this summer at camp will include Animal Planet, a week of animal adventures; Get a Clue, in which campers use science to solve the camp mystery; and Survivor 2013, where campers outwit challenges like how to tie a knot, start a campfire and much more. Traditional camp activities such as hiking, swimming, singing, and arts and crafts will also be enjoyed by all campers. Girls will have a chance to be part of the planning for each day at camp. 2. Multi-family yard sale

A multi-family yard sale will be held at 35 Marjac Road, Mansfield 7 a.m. It will include toys, video games, bikes, clothes, furniture and household items.

3. Maplewood Day Camp open house

Join Maplewood Day Camp for this free event starting 10 a.m. at 150 Foundry St., Easton, which includes a special visit from Farm Visits, featuring goats, pigs, chicks, bunnies and kittens in a petting zoo setting. There will also be balloon animals and hats, a moonwalk, sports, bottle cap necklace art and al children’s book signing by local authors Sandy Leahy and Kathy Tarentino. Sign up for Summer Camp and you will be entered into a raffle to win a $200 Maplewood gift certificate.
