Signups have begun for Easton Children's Theatre's summer program.

The group is limited to 30 kids, minimum age 9. Each participant will have a speaking and singing role in the full length musical, “Lost at Sea."

The program runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning Monday, June 30 to Friday, July 25, with performances on July 25 and 26 at Easton Middle School. Participants can miss up to three classes as long as it is not the last week before the shows.

In addition to rehearsing for the musical, participants will learn a lot about acting and also have lots of fun playing games and socializing. ECT summer program offers an excellent opportunity to study the craft of acting and a chance to have personalized voice training and movement instruction in a relaxed, low pressure environment. Because it is a community theatre, the cost of the program is very reasonable.

The musical comedy we’ll be working on this summer, “Lost at Sea,” is a madcap comedy about a cruise ship filled with zany characters who become shipwrecked in the South Pacific and encounter some very friendly but sometimes dangerous natives. The show has lots of fun roles for young actors.
