The Form of A Teacher...
As this school year comes to a close I find it of most importance to thank those of you amazing human beings who have chosen your paths here on this crazy planet to educate my children.
There she stands anxiously on the stage.. a single braid in her bangs is tucked behind one ear, crooked golden glittering stars circle her fourth grade head.. A graduation gown -gone “Starry Starry Night” costume - consumes her frame….She says her lines perfectly and knows it. She looks out at the crowd and our eyes meet. Her obvious feelings of enjoyment and delight fill her beautiful little face as her little spirit sparkles at me..
My heart overflows…
His little “whiffle” cut head is being cradled by his right hand as he sits at his desk concentrating. With pencil steady he sits quietly tall in his chair and completes his class work. He raises his hand and waits for the teacher to notice, he announces politely that he is finished and his cheeks flush with the pride he is attempting to hide from his peers.

My gratitude unending…
Little fancy girl is singing. She, at the age of four, has learned to use American Sign Language to sing the most beautiful words. She sings a song about how all she really needs in her world is a “song in her heart, food in her belly and love in her family”.

A tear of reverie falls…
As this school year comes to a close I find it of most importance to thank those of you amazing human beings who have chosen your paths here on this crazy planet to educate my children. The gifts that you share are selfless and intangible.. And at times thankless - because only you truly know how much it is that you give of them. Your tasks are daunting and your patience persistent.
The schools here in Norton and the preschool in Mansfield that my children attend are filled with people with soul --people of integrity and love. Some of the most beloved are those professionals who work behind the scenes.. Whose instincts are intrinsic.. and passion for children and families unending...
True masters of their craft….
It is because of you my family can grow in confidence and in wisdom.. Surrounded by people of beauty in their truest form….
