Fall @ the Norton Public Library

Fall events at the Norton Public Library

Autumn means crisp fall air, colorful foliage, fall flavors...and great programming at the Norton Public Library! Our Fall Hours have started and we're now open on Saturdays from 10:00am-2:00pm.

September is National Library Card Signup Month and there's no better time to get your card. We now have new shopper card sets, with both a standard library card AND a keychain card. From now until the end of this year, anyone can replace their current library card with a new shopper card set at no charge. (In 2013, we will reinstate the $2.00 replacement fee - so get your card soon!)

Our Parent & Child Book Club will resume on Monday, September 24th at 5:30pm. This month we'll discuss  Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin. Miss Leslianne will also be offering weekly storytimes every Wednesday in October.

We haven't forgotten our teens! Teen Tuesdays resume September 25. Drop in the the Community Room for popcorn and a free movie. We'll be showing a 2012 documentary/concert film that follows an international pop  star during her year-long "California Dreams" world tour. And on Tuesday, October 2 at 4:00 PM professional graphic novel artists Andy and Veronica Fish will be teaching a Manga Workshop for all levels, ages 11 to adult.  Pick up your free ticket--and one for a friend--at the library front desk to reserve your space (and enter some nice raffles) at the workshop. More information about Andy and Veronica at their website, The Undercover Fish Group.

Coming up this fall for adults we have technology workshops, writing groups, and book and film discussions. September 20th at 10:30am actress Judy Bernstein will present "The Best Advice I Ever Got"--a can't-miss program with anecdotes from successful people from all walks of life.
