Norton Boys Soccer Keeps Streak Alive

The Lancers kept their unbeaten status intact, scoring two second-half goals in the Tri-Valley League win over the visiting Wolverines.

Norton broke the scoring drought in the 58th minute when a Wolverine defender failed to clear a corner kick and the Lancers' Jordan Lach deposited his second goal of the season in the net. Twenty minutes later, Lach's cousin, Jon Lach, tallied his fifth goal of the season.

The Lancers turned in a superb defensive effort in front of goalie Joe Maia. Noah Lach (Jordan's brother) and Matt Erickson marked Westwood's top scorer and Jared Kahn put a lot of pressure on the Wolverines from his backline position. Maia had to make five saves, including two leaping deflections in the first half, for his second shutout of the season.
