October Events at the Norton Public Library
The Library's October schedule is jam-packed! Be sure to pick up a copy of the October calendar at the library or check out our online event calendar. Here are a few highlights for this month:
- Wednesday mornings at 10:30 join us for storytimes for children 0 - 5 years old and their grownups!
- Tuesday afternoons at 3:30 Middle & High School students are welcome to join us to play board games or wii games, watch a movie, try out a craft project, clean up the library park, or help decorate the children's room. (A one-time registration is required.)
- Thursday, Oct. 10 at 10:30 Actress Judy Bernstein presents "Food Fancies of the Famous!"
- Thursday, Oct. 17 from 10:00-7:00 the Friends of the Norton Public Library will be hosting a Jewelry Jingle Fundraiser--a tag sale of gently used jewelry! All proceeds go directly to support the Library.
- Monday, Oct. 21 at 4:00 Young scientists in grades 1-4 are invited to solve a mystery at this month's Book Explorers with Gina McGarrigle from CFCE and Miss Leslianne. Parents: We promise no blood or scary stuff in this age-appropriate program! (Registration is required.)
- Monday, Oct. 28 at 2:30 Create your own custom jewelry piece with Let's Gogh Art! Using colorful glass, create a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry everyone will be exclaiming about. It’s easy, relaxing and fun. Sponsored by the Norton Cultural Council. (Registration is required and will begin two weeks before the event.)
