Following the blizzard that dumped around 3 feet of snow in Norton this weekend, residents asked Norton Patch when the parking ban will be lifted. The answer - Not today.Norton Police Lieutenant Todd Jackson said the parking ban will remains in effect at least through Monday.  They will reevaluate tomorrow. Several followers on the Norton Patch Facebook page asked what was being done with the old mini golf course on Mansfield Avenue. The answer: a used car lot.The 1.39 acre piece of land is owned by Westwood resident Nicolos Vassilios.“Recently the selectmen have or soon will be requested to approve a license for the land owner to sell used cars,” said Building Commissioner Scott Barbados. “The [application] went by my desk and meets the use requirement for that zone.”Selectmen held the public hearing Jan. 31. The hearing was continued to a meeting, Thursday, Feb. 7.   
Several Patch readers have asked when Sabatino's Trattoria will be opening. Though the italian restaurant was originally slated to open in April, it is unclear when doors will open. Building owner Rico Ferrera said that the exterior was recently finished, and they hope it's open in a month.  Located next to High Tech Automotive and Hess, Sabatino's Trattoria is co-owned by mother and daughter duo Siorentina and Melinda Ferrera. It will feature brick oven pizzas and fresh homemade pastas on their menu. Lately several Norton Patch readers have asked what exactly is going into the vacant building next to High Tech Automotive and Hess. The answer is Sabatino's Trattoria, an Italian restaurant co-owned by mother and daughter duo Siorentina and Melinda Ferrera. There a was a permit pulled for renovations to the building at 115 W. Patch readers Catherine Webber and Linda Davis recently asked what kind of work is being done to the Reservoir Street dam. “Fall Town Meeting members approved the capital improvement budget to include the embankment repairs at the location,” answered conservation agent Jennifer Corlino.Per the Office of Dam Safety regulations, all woody vegetation along the embankment will be removed and re-vegetated with loam and seed. T Ford Company is installing footings, a training wall and a drain at the toe of the slope on one side of the dam and stabilizing the embankment on the other side with stone. …
