This Halloween, Norton Public Library hosted trick-or-treating and a costume parade. Kids in costume received a free book and marched around the library, Norton Fire Department and Town Hall.

The chilly weather didn't put a damper on this year's Halloween Parade, which was held Sunday, Oct. 30 at noon. The parade route was Route 123 from the Norton/Attleboro line to St. Mary's church. Norton Parks and Recreation, who has organized the parade for the last 19 years, extends a "Thank You" to Ribeiro Enterprises for not only stepping up to co-sponsor the Halloween Parade, but also for taking on the job of emptying the trash at the Community Playground twice a week!
According to Norton Police Department's Facebook page, Halloween has not been postponed, unlike other towns in the region, despite some areas in Norton still without power.
