The last day to register to vote or change your political party for the Special State Primary and Annual Town Election is Wednesday, April 10. This is also the last day to register for the Annual Town Meeting scheduled for Monday, May 13 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Norton Middle School. The Norton Town Clerks Office, located on the first floor of Town Hall, 70 E. Main St., will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10. Today is the last day to register to vote for the upcoming State and Presidential Election.  Registered voters who have not returned a 2012 census form to the town clerks office are considered inactive voters and will be required to complete additional forms and show a valid ID with their voter address on it at the polls before being eligible to receive a ballot. Residents who are unsure if they have completed their 2012 census are encouraged to stop by or call the town clerk's office at 508-285-0230 to verify and/or complete the necessary forms to avoid the delay at the polls. The registration deadline for Norton Youth Soccer's fall recreational season is May 31. The fall season runs nine consecutive weekends, starting in early September and ending in early November. Players practice once a week with games on Saturdays at Norton Middle School. Norton boys and girls born Aug. 1, 1997 through July 31, 2007 are eligible. NYS uses an online registration system for Fall recreational signups. There are no walk-in signups. The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is noon today. Completed ballots must be received at the Town Clerk’s office by the close of polls on Election Day, Tuesday, April 24.
