U.S. News & World Report: Norton High Ranked 38th in Mass.
NHS also ranks 694th nationally, according to the report.
U.S. News & World Report's annual "Best High Schools" list has been revealed, and Norton High School landed 38th in the state, and 694th nationally, according to the report.
High schools in the area that made the state's top 25 include Hopkinton (3rd), Dover-Sherborn (6th), Sharon (7th), Medfield (16th) and Westwood (20th).
Overall, a specific methodology was used to formulate the list, which in the past has generated controversy. U.S. News & World Report partnered with the American Institutes for Research, a Washington D.C.–based social science research group to create its rankings of 22,000 public high schools.
Specifically, the state rankings are based on the school's nationwide rankings, and the rankings are based on data from the 2009 to 2010 school year, according to the magazine's website.
