UPDATE: Trailer Falls on Sysco Truck and Pickup

No one was injured in the accident.

At 12:50 p.m. today, Norton Police and Fire Departments responded to the intersection of Mansfield Avenue and W. Main Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident.

A tractor-trailer unit, operated by Robert Dorr, 42, of Plainville, was making a right turn onto Mansfield Avenue when the load slid off the truck, striking a Sysco truck and pick-up truck, which were heading south on Mansfield Avenue. The load was a storage container. The load struck the trailer of the Sysco truck, causing minor damage, and landed on the front of the pick-up truck, driven by Karl Phillips, 41, of Taunton.

No one was injured in the accident, and no operators were cited. Traffic was detoured for approximately two hours while crews lifted the storage container onto a flatbed truck with a crane.

Failure to properly secure a load is the violation here!

The trailer struck the curb which caused the trailer to overturn..........not a unsecured load. You must watch LOTS of "Police" shows by the sounds of all your "law" comments I've seen.
