The region received about 2 inches of rain as of 10:26 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service in Taunton reported on its website.

No local storm damage was reported.

The upcoming week looks damp, too.

There's a 50 percent chance of showers today [Sunday], the weather service said. Monday and Tuesday have a slight chance of showers, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday through Saturday of this upcoming week.
