Pregnant Woman in Route 24 Crash Gives Birth

Stephanie Rogers gives birth to Jasmine, a healthy baby girl.

The Route 24 rollover that claimed the life of 12-year-old Angel Pina also induced the labor of passenger Stephanie Rogers, who was 8 months pregnant, according to Channel 5 news.

Rogers, who was the only one wearing a seatbelt, gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Jasmine.

"Stephanie and Jasmine are doing well," said William Rogers is the brother of Stephanie and cousin to Sandra and Angel on the Norton Patch Facebook page. "Thank you all for you prayers and support."

The three victims in Thursday's single car rollover crash on Route 24 northbound on the Stoughton/Avon line are from Norton, according to Trooper Todd Nolan, a spokesperson for the Massachusetts State Police. Angel was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver, Sandra Ouellette, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital. Rogers was flown from the scene by Medflight helicopter to Boston Medical Center.
