Practice officially begins for the winter 2010-2011 season on Monday for all the teams at Norton High School.

The school will compete in four varsity sports this winter, including basketball, track, wrestling and swimming.

The regular season will commence on Friday, Dec. 10 with the Lancer girls' and boys' basketball teams playing a non-league doubleheader against Seekonk at the Lawrence Larocque Gymnasium. The Norton girls will open their season by hosting the Warriors at 5 p.m., while the boys entertain Seekonk at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The swim team will also begin its season Dec. 10 with a meet against Tri-Valley League opponent Hopkinton.

On Saturday, Dec. 11, the boys' and girls' track teams will begin the year by facing TVL foe Holliston, while the Lancer wrestling team opens its campaign that day with a quad meet at home against non-league opponents Norwell, Nauset and Taunton.
