Last night at Norton High School, the 12th Annual Kathy Bailey Memorial Basketball Game was held to raise money for families in Norton dealing with terminal illnesses.
The game was first played in 2003 as a fundraiser for Bailey, but has developed into a yearly event to help other members of the community. This year, 11 families will benefit from the fundraiser.
The event, once again attended by a capacity crowd, saw Team Pride and Team Lancers face-off. Both teams were made up of members of teachers and staff members of the Norton Public Schools.
Despite a second half comeback by Team Lancers, it was Team Pride who walked away with a 82-76 win.
Volunteering as referees were Brian Clark, John Conroy, Peter Hamill, Jim Bowman, and John Williams who kept the crowd entertained all night long.
The National Anthem and half-time show was performed by country singer Tim Brown.
