Woodrow P. Quimby, 94, of Cambridge, died Nov. 29, 2012.

Mr. Quimby was born Aug. 30,1918 in Roxbury. He was married 72 years to Rita G. (Bettencourt).

He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was also a retired employee of Houghton Mifflin Co., Sondik Co. and Arthur D. Little Co.

Mr. Quimby leaves his children Woodrow G. and his wife Sharon of Sharon, Edward D. and his wife Charlotte of Fleetwood, Penn., Robert F. of San Diego, Calif. and Patricia S. Higgins and her husband Michael of Norton; his grandchildren Jennifer Flynn, Meredith Lopez, Gregg Quimby, Kaitlyn and Jillian Higgins; his great-grandchildren Hannah and Madison Cole, Jace Flynn, Cameron and Brandon Lopez. He was predeceased by six brothers.
