Norton Youth to Announce Patriots Draft Pick
Brandon Morabito wins chance to mingle with New England Patriots at Radio City Music Hall.
Brandon Morabito will have an important job this Saturday. The 10-year-old will be announcing the New England Patriots fourth round draft selection.
Brandon’s father, Mark, has been a New England Patriots season ticket holder for 20 years. The father and son duo recently attended an exclusive Patriots Draft Preview where all attendees were entered into a drawing for a chance to go to the NFL Draft. As luck would have it, Brandon was chosen to take the trip to Radio City Music Hall this weekend, sit with the team and announce the Patriots fourth round selection live from the podium Saturday.
If that wasn’t enough, Brandon and approximately 80 other fans will have an intimate breakfast with the team and commissioner Roger Goodell.
“Brandon and our entire family are wildly excited,” Mark said.
Mark and his son attended a few playoff games, including the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens. His favorite player is Patrick Chung, who was drafted by the Patriots in the second round (34th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.
This isn’t the first time Brandon has been awarded for being a Pats fan. During Super Bowl week a few months ago, he won an award at Henri A. Yelle Elementary School for the most Patriots pride.
“He’s becoming quite a fan over this past year,” Mark said.
The draft will be televised on both ESPN2 and the NFL Network starting noon.
