Norton Parks and Rec. to Hold Ice Skating Party

To take place on Slattery property.

Norton Parks and Recreation will be sponsoring a Community Skating Party Saturday, Jan. 29, 2 to 4 p.m. at 166 John Scott Blvd., weather pending.

The area has been flooded for about a month now, but with the recent snowstorm, the bog needs to be plowed. Parks and Recreation are asking for help to clear off the bog. “The Water Superintendent has been working hard all by himself to try to get the bog ready but with this last snow it has been very hard,” they said on their Facebook page. People with shovels and snowblowers will be allowed through the gate to help.

The skating entrance will be near the fishing derby shed.

There will be cookies from Roche Bros. supermarket and beverages from Dunkin Donuts. And to keep people warm, there will be a bonfire.
