Lyons Compete at Roadrunner Invitational

Remainder of events to begin Saturday morning.

The men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed at the Roadrunner Invitational Saturday afternoon at Ramapo College.

Seniors Ashley Dell'Aira (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham) won the triple jump (38") and placed fifth in the long jump (17' 1 ¼"). Sophomore Ashante Little (Seabrook, N.H./Winnacunnet) captured second in the 400m dash (56.82) while classmate Meredith Scannell (San Marino, Calif./San Marino) took second in the 800m run (2:21.58).

In the high jump, sophomore Mollie Lane (Hanover, Mass./Hanover) took third as she cleared 5' ¼". Senior Didine Jusme (Providence, R.I./Classical) captured fifth in the 400m hurdles (1:10.95).

Senior Savannah Geasey (Portsmouth, R.I./Portsmouth) won the 3,000m steeplechase (11:57.10). Junior Amanda Claflin (Pembroke, Mass./Pembroke) took ninth in the 1,000m dash (12.80) and freshman Johanna Jimenez (Brooklyn, N.Y./Boys & Girls) was 10th in the 1,500m run (5:13.23). Freshman Nichole Haar (East Providence, R.I./East Providence) also recorded a 10th-place finish in the 100m hurdles (16.75).

The women's 4x100m relay team of Little, Claflin, senior Lauren Cardarelli (Cranston, R.I./La Salle), and sophomore Amber Spencer (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) captured fourth-place with a time of 50.08.

On the men's side, the Lyons 4x400m relay team of seniors Mark Williamson (Vienna, Va./James Madison) and Miles Ketchum (South Lee, Mass./Monumental Regional) and juniors Ben Miklovich (New Gloucester, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) and Karl Mader (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) placed first with as time of 3:20.91.

Sophomore Olufunsho Olagundoye (New York, N.Y./Cushing Academy) placed fourth in the 100m dash (11.17) and was a member of the 4x100m relay team which placed fifth (43.10), along with Williamson, Ketchum, and Miklovich. Miklovich (5th, 22.03) and Williamson (7th, 22.31) also competed in the 200m dash.

The Lyons return to action next Saturday when they compete at the Brown Invitational in Providence, R.I.
