Great Escape: Some Italian Choices

Porticello Restaurant in Easton and LaStoria Bar and Grill in Stoughton are featured today.

Parents: Between work, kids and all the other commitments you’ve got going on, it can be tough to take some time for yourself. But for those evenings or weekend afternoons when the kids are at basketball practice, spending the day with friends or staying with the grandparents, we’re here to help.

Each week, Patch will tell you about a great idea to give you a well deserved break—whether it’s a fun night out, a wine-tasting or a quiet way to spend an hour.

Here’s what we have for today:

* Looking for an elegant night out with friends? Check out Lastoria Italian Bar and Grill at 577 Washington Street in Stoughton.

On Wednesday, the restaurant features "Winey Wednesday," a half-priced bottle of wine with the purchase of two entrees.

Thursday is "Tini" Thursday. Get a complimentary pizzetti with a martini.

* If you're looking for a different Italian choice, check out Porticello's Restaurant at 454 Turnpike St., Easton for a great night out with great food and drink.

Porticello offers fine Italian dining, with a large selection of wines, and entrees such as rack of lamb, veal saltimbocca and carbonara. The restaurant also has a nice selection of appetizers, including antipasti, and desserts like creme brulee. There is a spacious parking lot and the restaurant has plenty of seating.
