After a fire temporarily displaced the Clinkscales Family on 39 Evergreen Road, Norton Jan. 24, partial electricity and cold water has been restored.
“We are staying at the house, living on the bottom floor,” said homeowner Angela Clinkscales.
The fire began on the second floor of the home, and damages still need to be repaired.
Her family must raise $4,000 for an electrician to rewire the upstairs. They are also in need of 10 x 10 rugs, bureaus, two queens size bed sets and sheet rock or insulation.
A fund has been set up for the Clinkscales Family at North Easton Savings Bank. Donations can be made directly at North Easton Savings Bank locations or sent to the bank address (p.o. box 2055, Norton, MA 02766) and written out to The Clinkscales Family Fund or to the family directly at 39 Evergreen Road, Norton, MA 02766.
People may also donate online via Facebook and American Red Cross.

Thank you Norton Patch for posting this, we all know what it's like to struggle in this economy. I want to thank in advance anyone willing to help out, it reminds me that not all of the world is selfish or ugly or unforgiving and that good people do exist!

I echo the opinion of the first post, this "family" would be the last one I'd give money too. Check the Police log over the years.

I love driving by and seeing their 50'' flat screen tv.

THAT TV WAS ONE OF THE FEW THINGS FROM UPSTAIRS THAT THEY COULD SALVAGE, PRETTY SAD SINCE ALL THE FAMILY PICTURES AND EVERYTHING OF REAL VALUE WAS DESTROYED. NOW THAT AND THE COMMENTS MADE HERE MAKE ME SICK!

They also chose not to have insurance on their home, another fact that wasn't reported. People would help if the family had helped themselves over the years. They have able bodied sons that should have had enough $$ to pay for homeowners insurance and other necessities. Instead they chose to spend it on other "things and activities". They need to look in the mirror before they look to others to help.

Oh and when you all lay in your cozy beds at night I hope you think about if you lost what they have lost and couldn't afford home insurance. You can also think how comfortable you are in that bed while they sleep on couches and tables since the "helpful" residents haven't donated anything as of yet and the money the red cross gave them for the simple luxury of a bed was spent for an electrician and a dumpster to throw away the items of the upstairs. Which one of you really thinks they would truly deserve help? Which of you has no skeletons of the past or issue of today? I really hope you don't call yourselves christians and expect the generousity of God when you reaqch his gates. Do you think he would do as you do? I know he wouldn't or I wouldn't praise His name. Disappointed. =/

Norton resident, if you don't have it in your heart to help then don't. That doesn't mean you need to be nasty. Hide behind your generic screen name, too bad because you are just the type of person I would like to avoid ever having to come across. You have fun being so perfect and spotless. *rolls eyes*

Oh wait, I believe your name was Linda the other day. I recall that from the third comment posted and now it's Norton Resident. Making a mental note to avoid all Linda's in the vicinity of Norton Grove.

everyone here is entitled to their own opinion..however it saddens me to see all the negative comments being made here by respectful people of the town..the family as never once said they are perfect..i myself am not perfect nor am i here to judge but i will be making a small donation as i know in my heart it is the right thing to do and i would hope someone would be willing to help me out as well if i needed the help and not judge me for my past...by donating i know in my heart i did the right thing for the right reasons..i would encourage others to do the same..

You know what Denise Michele is right, you are entitled to your opinion and I to mine(which is more along the lines of Denise Michele's). If your kids went to school with the kids in the family then I went to school with yours. I must say though, I find it pretty repulsive that you would laugh at someone else's loss, that doesn't show that you feel sympathy for them and I honestly don't believe you do. Asking for help to build a larger home for your family is hardly scamming and neither is asking for help rebuilding after a fire. You have a nice night, and I hope a nice life. I don't know why I am wasting my breathe with you, really what you think matters not. =)

Also have to comment, if you live by JCS and have heard such horrible things about the family, why would you drive by there? To mock and sneer, morbid curiosity?

Do they live on Evergreen? It's not in a spot you would have to drive by.
