'Annie' Will Come Out Tomorrow...As Well as Today and Sunday [VIDEO]
Performance by Norton High School drama club.
This weekend, the Norton High School drama club will present "Annie" the musical.
Based on the "Little Orphan Annie" comic strip by Harold Gray and the book "Annie," by Thomas Meehan, the story follows a red headed girl named, you guessed it, Annie. The 11-year-old orphan, played by Rachel Ferreira is desperate to be reunited with her parents when a wealthy industrialist named Oliver Warbucks (Bryce McCarthy) takes her in his home for two weeks during the holidays. While it takes him some time to warm up to the girl, she eventually wins him over and they attempt to find her parents together. Annie's caretaker Miss Hannigan, performed spot on by Jordana Wollenhaupt, has a different plan, however.
Other students in the play are Emma Chisholm, Anna Sweeney, Alexis Eno, Emma Beatty, Madison Duross, Emily Weber, Holly Ann Smith, Rhenna Barry, Allison Russell, Hanna Lucid, Hannah Goldman, Amanda Flicop, Jennifer Petrilli, Elizabeth Dufault, Emma VanDenBerghe, Tyler Fairbairn, Meagan Graham, Abby Sitte, Kayla Geribo, Angelina Varela, Shannon Gibson, Gabrielle Tierney, Dannaie Gonsalves, Alexis Mercado, Alyssa Norton, Sarah Saintius, Joseph Carlin, Joanna Kennedy, Peter Czyrklis, Corina Jurcyk, Gabbie Kenyon, Francesca Maciejko, Amanda Galpin, Meagan Graham, Alicia Mello, Bri Hayes and Taylor Lucero.
Behind the scenes include director Arlene Koellner, choreographer Wendy Malone, music director Kyla Couture, piano accompanist Robert Couture, stage manager Naomi Stuffers, stage crew members Hogan Bridges Sariah Sugarman, Emily Johansen, Dylan Lucero and Sara King with lighting by Jordan Ledwith and makeup by Allison Denekamp.
