1. Today there is a 30 percent chance of scattered showers before 7 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy, then gradually will become sunny, with a temperature falling to around 41 by 5 p.m. West wind will be between 9 and 13 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Tonight there is a slight chance of rain showers before 9 p.m., then a chance of snow showers. The low will be around 24. North wind between 3 and 9 mph. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
2. The 10th annual Kathy Bailey Memorial basketball game will take place 7 p.m. at Norton High School. All funds will provide support for Norton families who have lost a family member this year or are coping with a terminally ill family member. There will also be raffles, a silent auction and concession items.
3. The New England Strikers Field Hockey Club presents Comedy Night 7 to 11 p.m. at Oakes Ames Memorial Hall, 3 Barrows St., North Easton, featuring headliner Tom Gilmore with Chrissy Kelleher and Rich Gustus. Tom Gilmore has performed with Dennis Miller, Lewis Black, Dennis Leary, Rosie O'Donnell and many others. Enjoy a night of comedy, live music, hors d'oeuvres, raffles and silent auctions. Cash bar. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. A portion of the evening's proceeds will be donated to My Brother's Keeper.
