1. Today there is a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before noon. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. North wind will be between 9 and 11 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 31.

2. Join Ms. Leslianne, the Norton Public Library's Children's Librarian, for Alphabits, story-song-rhyme-and-play time for preschoolers age 3-5 and their favorite grownups at 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. The Knot-Just-Knitting Club will meet 1 to 2:30 p.m. Share and/or compare knitting and crocheting projects. This group is open to beginners, experts and those in between.

3. James Hunter and Jesse Dee will be playing at Showcase Live, 23 Patriot Pl, Foxborough. Hunter’s music features rhythm and blues in the style of the 1950s and 60s pitched between R&B, early rock and roll and early soul. Tickets are $30. Doors open 6 p.m. for dinner and best seat selection. Show starts 8 p.m.

4.  A Norton resident was charged in connection with the March 27 shooting in Avon. She, along with two others involved in the incident, were arraigned at Stoughton District Court. To read more about this, click here.
