3. Start the New Year off on a healthy note. The Friends of the Blue Hills 21st annual First Day Hike kicks off at noon today at Houghton Pond, 840 Hillside St., Milton. The event starts with free hot chocolate, soup and cookies around a campfire, then there will be a 1 to 2 hour hike with DCR Rangers and Friends of the Blue Hills volunteers.
