Five Things You Should Know Today is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance. Check back later for more, and let us know what you think of the feature in the comments section.

.)  Wheaton College plans to remain open and follow the normal class schedule today. Students should assume that their class will take place as scheduled unless notified otherwise. Some staff members will elect to be absent, arrive late or leave early due to weather conditions. If conditions deteriorate significantly overnight, check the college website or call the college announcement line at 508-286-8285 at 6:30 a.m. New Testament Christian School cancelled classes and will keep us posted about Thursday. Southeastern Regional and Foxborough Regional Charter School will be closed as well.

.) All after school and evening activities are cancelled for Norton Public Schools. The boys freshmen, junior varsity and varsity games in Millis have been changed to Thursday at 3:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively due to the weather.

.) The Swirling Vine's monthly wine tasting originally scheduled for tonight is cancelled due to the weather. They will reschedule and post the new date as soon as possible.

.) Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. Norton Patch wants to know how you met your significant other. Send your story and photos to Kelly.Mello@Patch.com.

.) On the roster for today are snow-related columns by Bill Gouveia and Lisa Livingstone. How does the weather rank against that of yore? How do you keep order in your home with the kids home from school?  Read Bill’s column and Lisa’s starting 9 a.m. to find out.
