1. Today will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. North wind will be between 9 and 14 mph. Tonight there is a 20 percent chance of rain showers between 2 and 3 a.m., then a slight chance of snow showers after 3 a.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. North wind will be between 3 and 8 mph.

2. The Wheaton College softball team will host its annual Cans for Cancer as the Lyons will play a doubleheader with New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference foe Clark University, beginning at noon at Clark Field. All fans in attendance are asked to bring a large bag of bottles and cans or a donation in support of former softball student-athlete Kate Kinzino, Class of 2002, a cancer survivor. All proceeds will be donated in Kate’s honor to a cancer patient in need. Fans are also encouraged to wear blue. 3. A seven-piece outfit from San Francisco, Tainted Love will bring you back to the days when keyboards ruled the airwaves, cascading hairdos were commonplace and outlandish fashions lit up the pioneering early days of MTV. Doors open 6 p.m., show starts 8 p.m. at Patriot Place. Tickets are $17.

5. According to Norton High student Kendyl Cutler, cell phone use always seems to be an issue at the school. Even though the rules are enforced more this year, kids are still texting, tweeting and checking facebook. To see her thoughts on this trend, tune in at 10 a.m.
