1. Destination Imagination informational meeting

2. Personal Best Karate parent volunteer wanted
Personal Best Karate is seeking a parent volunteer that would stay during the after school program and make sure everyone gets picked up. A list will be provided. The 45 minute class begins at 2:05 p.m., parents should be there at 2 p.m. Kindergarten on Mondays Oct. 15, 22, 29 and Nov. 5. Programs for grades 1 through 3 are Tuesdays Oct. 16, 23 and 30.
3. Outdoor exploration
Join Mass Audubon at 108 North St, Norfolk at 1:30 p.m. for an hour of outdoor exploration, experimentation and indoor play to help illustrate the treasures to be found in our natural world. A typical class includes song, puppetry, book reading, gross motor movement play, craft and a nature walk. Bring appropriate clothing for the winter’s walk. Cost is $9. 4. Ping4alerts app now available for emergencies
The Massachusetts Emergency Management System unveiled a new tool to kept Bay Staters abreast of urgent news. The latest system is called Ping4alerts! and allows residents to sign up for a free mobile communications application that will send alerts to iPhones and Android devices with immediate information and emergencies and disasters. The free application can be downloaded at www.mass.gov/mema/mobileapp.
5. High near 64, low around 45
Today there is a 20 percent chance of showers after 3 p.m. There will be patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. Light and variable wind will become south 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Tonight there is a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 9 p.m. It will be cloudy during the early evening, then will gradually clear with a low around 45. West wind will be 7 to 11 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
